Belleview Mido Resort Hotel
The White Queen of the Gulf Celebrates 100 Years
Visiting the Belleview Mido Resort Hotel was a real treat!
I love historic sites. To me, the romance of olden times is like reading storybook fairy tales. Walking these halls made me feel as if I might be intruding on the secret affairs of those of another time, and I wanted to step gingerly and with respect, as if treading through the merriments of guests from a century ago. I could let my imagination run wild and almost feel the presence of the ghosts from that bygone day! Though, every one of the modern-day personnel was very gracious and the appointments and amenities superb.

NASCAR Cafe
Where the Best Times Win!
The writing of this restaurant review was a fun challenge to write “in theme” with my subject, as I love to do! Playing up the scheme with wordplay is very befitting to this eatery.

Riverview Hotel
The Pink of Perfection
This historic seaside inn, now painted in the bright and airy colors of carefree beach life, was rumored to have once been the haunt of Chicago gangster Al Capone.
During my overnight stay, I kept hearing footsteps on the floor above, as if someone were pacing the floor boards. This wouldn’t have been so very bizarre if it had happened during the day… But this continued on through the dark and shadowy hours of night when guests should have been sleeping! Could it have been the phantom footfalls of the notorious mobster?
